Ingredients

  • 10 oz pkg frozen spinach thawed and prepped
  • 14 oz canned marinated artichoke hearts
  • 1/3 cup cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 pkg crescent rolls

Instructions

  • Prep spinach: Place defrosted spinach in colander. Add 1 tsp salt. Let sit for 10 minutes. Use back of spoon to drain.
  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • In a bowl, combine artichokes, prepared spinach, cream cheese, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Unroll the 2 packages of crescent rolls onto a round pizza pan or baking stone or parchment lined baking sheet. Separate into 16 triangles creating a circle with wide ends slightly overlapping forming the circle center. You can place approx. 3" ramekin bowl to help. Using a rolling pin or fingers seal any seams.
  • Distribute artichoke and spinach mixture evenly in a continuous circular pattern leaving 3 inches of crescent rolls pointed edge out.
  • Start pulling points of crescent roll over mixture in a crisscross pattern and slightly sealing in center point.
  • Bake for approximately 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve with marinara sauce in a ramekin placed in center or pour over crescent roll the marinara.

Notes

If tops are browning to quickly with bottom not being cooked, you can cover with foil lightly or brush with an egg wash.
