Perfect Prime Rib Roast. Absolutely delicious and simple recipe to make a tender and juicy Prime Rib Roast. Elegant dinner for those special occasions. Secret is to braise first and then a slow cooking to your perfect temperature.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 8-9 Prime Rib Roast approx 7 ribs
  • 3 tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 tbsp Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Set roast out to come to room temperature approx. 2 1/2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 200°
    Braise roast on all sides in hot skillet until nicely browned. Place in a large roasting pan with wire rack. Generously salt and pepper all sides. Pour 1 cup of water in pan below wire rack. Place roast in oven until thermometer reads 129° for medium rare and 140° for medium. Cooking time is approximately 3 1/2 hours depending on size of roast. Remove from oven and cover with aluminum foil to rest for 20 minutes.

Creamed Horseradish Sauce
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3 Tablespoons Horseradish
  • 1/8 tsp salt
Whip cream to create soft peaks. Fold in remaining ingredients.
