Macaroni and Cheese
Delicious side dish made with your favorite combination of cheese or great when you have leftover charcuterie board cheese
Ingredients
- 16 oz macaroni cooked
- 8 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 4 cups whole milk, heavy cream, and or heavy whipping cream
- 6 cups variety of cheese of liking shredded or small diced
Topping
- 1 1/2 cups panko or bread crumbs (Italian or plain)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Lightly grease a 4 quart baking dish or Dutch oven
- Shred or dice up cheese.
- Cook pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and let cool. Drizzle with olive oil and stir to coat.
- Melt butter and whisk in flour over medium heat until bubbly.
- Whisk in the milk until smooth and bubbly. Let thicken approximately 2 minutes.
- Add cheese 2 cups at a time until smooth.
- Stir in cooked pasta ad combine.
- Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle on top.
- Bake approximately 15 minutes until golden brown.
